Our deepest fear is not what we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frighten us.  We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?  Actually, who are you not to be?  You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world.  There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.  We are all meant to shine, as children do.  We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.  It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.  And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.  As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Bill Corbett

A HUGE thanks to Bill Corbett and his complimentary write up of California Clown School! We love that the idea of non-intimidating clowns is reaching people far and near. California Clown school along with Hanna Banana is campaigning to make clown work a fun/safe place for children and are hoping to drop those previous fears of the bozo clown.

Bill Corbett is an American Playwright known for his work on Mystery Science Theater, several plays, and his contribution to NPR's Prairie Home Companion (one of our personal favorite shows!) and All Things Considered (another favorite!). He is currently touring with the play The Stuff of Dreams. We appreciate the work you do, Bill! Thanks for the compliments!

School Carnival

This past weekend we had the opportunity to work at a school carnival for Saint Catherine's in Martinez, CA. It was incredible to see how excited the children became over our style of face painting and balloon twisting! The joy that we are able to bring children makes my job the best job in the world!

Validation

Clown work is a great way to offer "validation" to others. Hanna has had this experience of validation numerous times!
